Grow With Us. Smokey Bones provides an extensive amount of training for our managers and offer great opportunities to expand your management skill set. We know that as a manager, you'll be faced with a lot of challenges and will be required to make a lot of decisions on your feet. We'll provide the training so that you'll be able to meet these challenges with confidence.

Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program
As a Manager-in-Training, you'll participate in a ten-week training program at one of our certified training locations. Training includes a concentrated overview of each teammate and manager position with hands-on projects, workbook exercises, videos and exams. One of your training weeks will be in Orlando , Florida for five days of classroom training at Smokey Bones University (SBU.) After the completion of your MIT Training, you'll be assigned into one of three areas as a Culinary, Bar, or Service Manager.

SBU Week
You will receive specific training in leading a positive guest and teammate experience, delivering great barbeque, and driving strong financial results. While in Orlando, you will also visit with many of the support personnel that will assist you in the day to day operations of the restaurant, as well as members of the executive team who will share with you their vision and passion for Our Backbones.
